Target Try-On: Business Casual Tops

I’m always looking for nice tops to throw on for work with black pants and flats, because let’s be honest – I have about 5 minutes to get dressed in the morning so this is my go-to business casual “uniform.” I really love the Prologue line at Target for good quality work wear, and am particularly obsessed with the high-low wrap top I found.

(FYI, I am wearing these pants, my Rothy’s and my favorite necklace with my kids initials – which is under $50!)

THIS TOP, ladies. It is SO good (and only $24.99). It is a wrap top that actually fits over my large chest (it has a hook-and-eye closure at the top to keep it in place, it is a high-low fit which means it sits at the perfect place in front without needing to tuck it in, but is lower in the back to make sure you won’t be showing anything you don’t want to show lol. I am wearing the Large and I’d say to size down if you want it more fitted. The pictures online show a much looser/boxier cut and I don’t love the way it looks in those photos. Oh, and it’s available in 3 colors and in Plus Sizes.

This Knox Rose sweater ($29.99) was very comfortable and soft, and great for spring weather because it isn’t too thick. I am wearing the XL.

I really love this Who What Wear black sleeveless top ($24.99), as it could be worn to work or for a more casual look, and has some great detail to it (I’m wearing a Large for reference). The necklace is also from Target ($14) and could go with a lot of outfits. The top is also available in Plus size.

I was so excited to try on this New Day mint blazer ($34.99, also available in Plus Size) because I have the exact same one from last year in a light blue and I LOVE it (seriously, run out and buy this!) – I get compliments on it all the time and it looks and feels very high quality.  This is a 14 (I own a 12 in the blue version, I think either would work for me). I also think I’d likely wear it with a v-neck top instead of this high-neck top.

I don’t really own a white button-up blouse, as it’s so hard to find one that actually fits over my chest but isn’t then too boxy or loose on the bottom.  This one is really gorgeous, and very soft. I am wearing the XL and it fits me comfortably on top. I am wearing it here tucked-in, but you can tuck it in as well.

Target Clearance Try-On

A lot of winter dresses and sweaters are on clearance at Target right now for 50% off! I stopped by to try on a few things and share them with you all.

(My flats and pants are also from Target)

I actually already own this dress in a Black Size Large and love it. This is the burgundy X-Large and was $13 at my store.

This leopard sweater is actually maternity but I think it fits great and I loved it! In my store it was $13. I’m wearing the XXL.

This New Day sweater is very cute but the sleeves were a bit long. I’m wearing the Large. In my store it was $14.

This New Day sweater (Size Large) is so soft and reminds me of a fair isle sweater from J. Crew. In my store it was only $14.

This Ava & Viv mockneck is very stretchy and soft and only $9! I’m wearing the X.

New Arrivals at Target (and a BOGO Boot Sale!)

Hello again! I haven’t been on here in awhile, due to moving and starting a new job (though I still post good deals over on my Facebook Page).  But I am still at Target all the time, and thought I would share some cute items I have seen there lately (boots are BOGO 50% off, and New Day dresses are 30% off right now):

First of all – I own these booties and they are great! They are easy to get on since they have a zipper in the back, are very comfortable and will go with anything.

Also, if you love Madewell shoes, Target has two great Madewell dupes right now. I own the Wenda cut-out booties and love them.

Universal Thread Wenda Booties – $34.99

Rylie Faux Leather Bootie – $34.99 (also available in a cognac brown)

Bela Suede Cuff Boots ($39.99)

Bren Zipper Back Booties ($37.99)

Ugg Dupes! (Daniah Suede Boots – $34.99)

Who What Wear Dress (not online yet, will share the link once it is)

Universal Thread Sherpa Pullovers – $29.99 (Regular) – $32.99 (Plus)

Universal Thread Utility Jacket – $39.99

Deal of the Day: Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale is Back

Did you ladies see that Nordstrom has dropped prices on a ton of items (back to what they were during the Anniversary Sale)?

*This post contains affiliate links. If you purchase something after clicking on one of my links, I will be given a small commission.*

First and most importantly, the best black pants ever are back down to $40 (I wear these 3+ times a week, year round. They run big so I would size down) –

This popular Madewell cardigan is back in stock and also 40% off –

I bought this Halogen Sweater from the Anniversary Sale and can tell you it is gorgeous in person (I bought it in XL for reference)

Also, the colored J. Crew blazer I have been eyeing is back to 40% off as well!
Basically, if you were eyeing something from the sale but it sold out, check the site again – chances are it is back in stock and back on sale! Click here for a comprehensive list of my favorite items from the Nordstrom Sale.

Deal of the Day: Animal Print Loafers for Under $15

Some of the big sellers at this year’s Nordstrom Anniversary Sale were animal print mules and loafers, like this snake skin Steve Madden pair. However, they are $70 and who knows if they will still be trendy next year!

If you’d like to try the trend for less, Wal-Mart has released several patterns of its “Time & Tru Feather Loafers” for only $14.97. I purchased some similar leopard loafers from them last year and really liked them.
