My Favorite Shoes from Target

Target has 50% off shoes for the entire family right now! The majority of my shoes come from Target so I wanted to share a couple of my favorite pairs: (They are all on sale for UNDER $20!)

These booties are my favorite because they go with everything, they have yet to show any wear and tear and they are so comfortable. I think I need them in black too!

These Wenda booties are a dupe for the Free People “Royale” booties that retail for $195. They are easy to slip on and comfortable, and I love the cognac color!

I love these Micah Loafers in black, they instantly dress up an outfit but are also really comfortable!

I am not usually a rain boot person because I don’t like to have to change my shoes once I get inside and out of the rain. But I wear these chelsea rain boots all day long and I feel like they look just like regular booties.

These Rianne Espadrilles are my favorite nude sandals! I own heels and big wedges but rarely wear them – I’m 5’11” and clumsy and would just prefer something comfortable. These are a perfect in-between, with a little bit of a platform – and the faux leather is very soft and comfortable.

These Neida sandals are my favorite to wear to the pool and are only $5 with the current sale!

Happy shoe shopping!

Where Can I Find: Matching Family Pajamas (2020 Edition)

I do this post every year because I know so many of you love Christmas PJs, and especially love to match your partner, your kids or even your pets!

  1. Target has tons of options, as per usual – and their prices range from $10 – $25 for each pair of pajamas. You can click here to see all the options available, and here are some of the styles they are carrying this year:

2. Old Navy: Old Navy also has a lot of affordable options, and all of them can be found here. Right now their family matching PJs are 40% off, meaning even the adult PJs are below $25. Below are some of my favorite styles:

3. Hanna Andersson – Hanna’s Christmas PJs are definitely on the more expensive side, but they last (my 3yo is currently wearing hand-me down santa pjs from my 7yo, and they still look great!). I have also purchased the women’s pants before and love them. (Also, the kids PJs are on sale right now for $29!)

Click here to see all of their PJs, and below are some of my favorites:

4. Carter’s: So far, Carter’s just has two patterns for family matching pajamas, but I really love the Santa print ones that come in both a green background and a pink background:

5. Land’s End: I did not realize they sold family matching PJs at Land’s End, but they have some cute options! They have a lot of classic plaid PJs sets, as well as a sloth pattern and a dog pattern. Prices range from $20 – $45.

6. Kohl’s – Similar to Target, Kohl’s has a number of options that won’t break your budget – and Lauren Conrad even designed some for her Kohl’s line! You can see all the options here, and below are some of my favorites:

7. JC Penney: You can see all of the options here (including reindeer onesies!), and below are a couple of my favorites:

They are also selling family matching PJs at: Children’s Place, Pottery Barn Kids and Sleepyheads.

Deal of the Day: The Best Fall Sweater (and it’s Under $20!)

Is there anything better than finding a classic piece that fits well, is affordable, and comes in a ton of colors/patterns? I have already purchased this Target sweater in both gray and hot pink and may be going back to get more – because it is only FIFTEEN DOLLARS!

It is a mid-weight sweater, not too thin but also not super thick or itchy like a heavy wool sweater. I purchased it in XL, which is the size I normally purchase in A New Day clothes.

New Fall Arrivals at Target

I haven’t browsed clothes in person at Target since March, but I went in for groceries today and saw a couple things that caught my eye and decided I needed to snap some pics! Here are the items that I love for fall, and I’m going to come back in another post to share my at-home try on of what I ended up buying. Also, Target has now combined its Regular and Plus listings when items are available in both size groups (yay!), which is why I haven’t included separate Plus size links.

*PSA that all of the Universal Thread items are 5% off right now, make sure to add that offer to either your Cartwheel app in store, or add the offer to your cart online!

Universal Thread Puff Sleeve Dress – $29.99 – this has some gorgeous tiers on the bottom and would be great with booties.

IMG_20200902_094404

Black & Leopard Backpacks – $32.99, Universal Thread (it will come as a surprise to no one that I am obsessed with the leopard print!)

Universal Thread Floral Top – $24.99 – I love lightweight blouses like these for fall, because it stays hot here in NC through September and October. This also comes in other colors and patterns.

Universal Thread Leopard Print Ruffle Sleeve Top – $27.99 – I keep seeing other people post about this in the Target Fam Facebook group, and I have to admit that it is really cute in person! It is almost more of a sweatshirt material as opposed to a dressy blouse. If you’d prefer a blouse in the same pattern, Target has that too (click here).

Universal Thread Puff Sleeve Sweatshirt – $25 – this come in solid colors and tie-dye and would look great paired with shorts (or sweatpants, let’s be honest).

A New Day Colorblock Cardigan – $27.99 – This cardigan is the whole reason I looked at fall clothes at all today. The colors stopped me in my tracks! There are several solid and striped color ways available.

A New Day Slouchy Crewneck Sweater – $24.99 – I love the color block version of this, but I was even more in love with the maroon. Online, they paired it with leopard pants, which would be an amazing look for fall! (It comes in 8 different colors online)

New Day Crewneck Pullover – $20 – I am dead over this hot pink, and also this insane price. This looked to me like it is meant to be a shorter sweater, though not quite cropped. It is available in 13 colors/patterns online.

New Day Woven T-Shirt – $20 – I love this plaid for fall, and to me this felt more like a blouse than a T-shirt. I also love how it was paired with these paper-bag pants ($29.99).

New Day Short Sleeve Eyelet Top – $20 – I love that this spans both summer and fall – I’ve seen a lot of short sleeve eyelet tops, but never in these gorgeous fall colors!

New Day Plaid Blazer – $34.99 – I have really loved the New Day blazers I’ve purchased in the past, they are always surprisingly great quality considering the price. And this plaid is so beautiful!

Kut from the Kloth Faux Suede Jacket ($76, Regularly $118) – I love the fall color options for this, including Burgundy!

Home Decor: Our Homework Room

I saw a post from @younghouselove a few months ago with a “homework room makeover” and knew I had to do something similar once we got into our new house. It’s so nice to have a place for all of their books and craft supplies, and to do their homework in as they get older.

*This post contains affiliate links. I will be given a small portion of proceeds if you buy something after clicking on one of my links.

Desks: I was originally going to get the same desks from Ikea from the original YHL post, but that just didn’t make sense in the age of COVID. I got these Target desks instead and they were so easy to put together (less than 10 mins, it’s just attaching legs) and look really nice and sturdy for the price.

Bookshelves: I used this Sauder Pogo Boom/Toy Organizer that I have had for years and would highly recommend (I can’t believe it has lasted through two moves considering the price), and an Ikea piece that used to be our pantry.

Cube Organizer: I am using this Ikea cube organizer and wicker baskets (that I already owned) to keep all the art supplies organized. You can also get a similar organizer from Target and similar baskets from Wayfair.

Rug: I got this rug at Home Goods for only $60 and I’m obsessed. For a similar 5×7 rug under $100, check out these options: nuLoom at Home Depot, Mark & Day, and Wayfair.

The Look for Less: Serena & Lily Riviera Chairs

You’ve probably seen these gorgeous Serena & Lily Riviera Chairs all over your Facebook and Instagram targeted ads, and in the homes of a lot of influencers. They are gorgeous but definitely an investment piece at over $200 each for dining chairs and over $300 each for barstools. (ETA: Just my personal two cents that I thought Serena & Lily’s response to the BLM movement was trash, so I wouldn’t buy their products).

The Look for Less: Rothy’s Dupes!

Love the breathability/comfort of Rothy’s but don’t want to pay $150+ for flats? Here are some companies making similar knit shoes for a lot less:

For the record, I love my Rothy’s, but I also know it’s a huge investment and always like to provide you all with affordable options. I own the Steve Madden Rosy flats in camo and love them, they do run small just like Rothy’s.

1. Kelly & Katie Fonzie Flats – $34.98, Sizes 6-11, come in several colors/patterns. I bought the camo ones when they were on super sale for $14.99 and they are great! They are true to size (they are not as pointed/narrow at the tip as Rothy’s are) and have a nice memory foam type cushion on the bottom.

474080_280_ss_07

2. Steve Madden Rosy Flats – $89 (I’ve also seen them at Nordstrom Rack for way less, as low as $39) – Sizes 5-11, available in 3 colors/patterns. I bought a pair of these in camo and they are really cute but do run small like Rothy’s points, the Size 11 was just too small for me unfortunately. If they had a Size 12 I would have bought those!

STEVEMADDEN-STEVEN_ROSY_TAUPE_TOP_grande
UPDATE (Dec. 2020): The Steve Madden Rosy flats do not seem to be available online at Steve Madden anymore, and are sold out at Nordstrom Rack online. You may be able to find a pair for cheap at a Nordstrom Rack store!

3. Steve Madden “Mia Kerri Pointed Toe Flat” – These are Steve Madden’s newest version of Rothy’s dupes. They are under $40 at Nordstrom Rack, and come in a ton of colors and patterns, from Size 6 – Size 11:

    4. Naturalizer Alexis Loafer – $49.99, Sizes 5-11, available in Nude and Black
