Target Try-On: Fall Sweater Edition

I initially went to Target to try on stuff from their new Prologue line but I wasn’t that compelled by what I saw – so I just decided to grab several cute sweaters from all different brands.

*The pants are mine, the flats are from Target and are only $14.99!

This leopard sweater from A New Day was really comfortable and I think fit similarly to other New Day tops (I tried it on in an XL which is my usual size in A New Day).

This v-neck sweater from Prologue was the one thing that did catch my eye from this brand. It is incredibly soft, a bit oversized (I am wearing a Large) and reminds me a lot of my favorite Dreamers sweater.

I love how long and oversized this cardigan is from Who What Wear – so I thought it made total sense to pair it with something dressier and more fitted. The top (plus size here) and cardigan (plus size here) are both size Large and are true to size. The arms of the cardigan are stretchy but definitely fitted.

I was most excited – but ultimately disappointed – for these two jackets. The New Day jacket (plus size here) is a gorgeous blush color with maroon lining and gold hardware. The Who What Wear jacket (plus size here) seemed like it could be a great fall staple. Unfortunately I just didn’t feel like the shape of you either did anything for me (both are a Size Large).

*I did love the Knox Rose blouse I tried on underneath. I accidentally tried it on in a Small – so it definitely runs big!

The surprise hit of the night was this New Day sweater – it is a gorgeous shade of pink, super soft and has a really pretty velvet bow detail on the back. I tried this on in Large but bought an XL because I wanted more length.

*It’s also available in white with a black bow!

I initially tried on this Ava and Viv plaid shirt and thought that I looked like a lumberjack. But once I played around with the styling, I actually really liked it. The coolest part is these new buttons they have which prevent gaping in the chest area:

There are basically two sets of buttons (interior and exterior). What a genius idea!
