Target Try-On: Transition to Fall

A couple weeks ago I bought this black Wild Fable jumpsuit from Target – but hadn’t quite figured out how to style it. I didn’t feel like I could wear it without a shirt underneath but all of my own shirts seemed too long/bulky. So I went to Target to find something cute to wear under it and see what other new arrivals they had.

Here’s the jumpsuit with my own white tee:

(For reference on the size and length, I am 5’11” and wearing a Large)

And here it is with a J’Adore Tee that I picked up in Medium so it would be more fitted underneath:

This gray top is a cropped tee from Wild Fable (Size L) which actually is perfect for not adding bulk under the jumpsuit. And it’s only $8!

I also paired it with a Wild Fable faux leather jacket which I think is pretty cute and a great value! I don’t love the strap at the bottom but it’s removable.

I also paired that same jacket over a New Day leopard dress which was super cute! This is a Large but I would size up to an XL for more room in the bust.

Next up was this New Day polka dot dress and man, I wish it were 2″ longer or I were 2″ shorter because it was SO cute but too short for me to wear to work.

(This is an XL which I think was the perfect size, it gave me more room in the bust and I was able to use the belt to cinch the waist).

Next up is another New Day dress (also in XL) which I think was a beautiful color and could be long enough on me given the High-Low hem. I would need Spanx under this one though, it was just fitted enough at the bottom to highlight my mom tummy.

Finally I decided to try on some tops but needed to also find pants to pair with them. I ended up trying on this New Day pair in 12 which were super long (too long on me even!) and stretchy. But I have plenty of black pants already!

I mainly picked up the pants because I had to try on this Knox Rose top. It is so pretty in person! I tried on the XL because I like my tops more flowy. I bought this one and love it – but just a caveat that the description online is misleading. There is no “built in cami” – you need to provide your own.

I also tried on this New Day sweater (can’t find it online!) and I loved the sleeve embellishments but just wasn’t sure what I would wear this to. This is a Large but I think I would size up to an XL.

That’s all folks! Let me know what you’d like to see me try on next time ♥️
