Target Try On!

People seem to like seeing Target clothes on an actual person – so here is my latest try on (I even tried on denim for you!). For reference I am a 30″ or 31″ waist for bottoms and usually a large in tops and dresses. I put the size down of everything I tried on including whether or not I felt like something was running big or running small.

1. Universal Thread Mid-Rise Skinnies and Universal Thread Military Jacket (I have searched high and low and cannot find this online but it was in store for $39.99. I did find a similar jacket from A New Day here.)

2. Universal Thread High Rise Skinnies (paired with my own hoodie from Royal and Reese)

I have not previously tried on any of the universal thread denim but I really liked what I did try on. It all had a lot of stretch but still had the weight and thickness of actual denim as opposed to more of a jegging. I overall preferred pair #1 for both the wash, the length and the rise. I tried on a 10L (30″ waist) in both pairs and they were snug but I have heard they stretch out a lot so I’d stick with that size if I were to buy a pair.

3. Universal Thread Boyfriend Shorts

I tried these on in a 12 and I wouldn’t have fit into a 10 for sure. They were stretchy but a 10 would have given me a muffin top. I don’t think I feel confident enough in my legs to wear these but they are a cute style.

4. A New Day Striped Tee (with my own pants)

This is a great basic and it’s only $12.99. I would size up – I’m wearing an XL here.

5. Xhilaration Yellow Lace Dress and Universal Thread Denim Jacket (cannot find the dress online but it was $27.99 in stores)

Loved this dress but not surprisingly it runs smaller because it’s Juniors sizing. Wearing a L here but I didn’t like how the waistband felt so I’d get an XL if I were to buy it. The jacket is perfection – it would be a great staple and you can’t beat the price.

6. A New Day Scallop Sleeve Dress (not online yet either – ugh! It was $24.99 in stores)

This was the surprise favorite of the night for me – it was a dressy sheath that actually wasn’t fitted tight to the body on the bottom which is so hard to find. Im wearing the Large and it was plenty roomy on bottom – you could size down in this one if you’re in between sizes.
