Since we are coming to the end of 2017, I thought I would recap my favorite clothing and beauty purchases of the year (that are still available – don’t you hate when someone recommends something to you only to tell you it is sold out?). Without further ado:
(1) My Favorite Black Pants – Kut from the Kloth Donna Skinny Jeans:
These are called jeans, but they are definitely not. They are 5-pocket stretchy ponte pants and I am considering buying a second pair in case my current pair someone gets ruined. They are also great for tall girls – I am 5’11” and they are plenty long enough on me to wear with flats. If you are shorter definitely buy the Petite.
(2) My Favorite Lipstick: Stila Color Balm Lipstick
I don’t like too dark of a lip, so I like this mix between lipstick and chapstick (but it definitely has more color than a traditional tinted balm). And it is so soft and has a minty smell to it.
(3) My Favorite Booties – Me Too Zoey Booties
This color goes with everything and they are really easy to get on and off and are comfortable to walk in (I have a couple pairs of booties that look cute but are impossible to get on and off which makes me so much less likely to wear them).
I have bought a lot from boutiques this year like Royal & Reese, The Mason Jar and Eleven Oaks. In doing so, I have realized that basically all my favorite shirts come from the same brand – Bellamie. Everything is so soft and comfortable and flattering. I have included links above for some places you can find their items now – including Amazon! Amazon is actually selling one of my favorite shirts right now – this one that I wore for family Christmas photos.
(5) My Favorite Skincare Line – Tatcha
I got the Betsellers Set of this for Christmas last year and I love it – my skin feels so smooth afterwards and I haven’t had any problems with blemishes this year.
These are the two necklaces that I bought this year that I have worn more than any others. The Seriael one is a copy of the more expensive Rebel Pendant from Stella & Dot (which I may invest in, considering how much I wear the knock-off).
(7) My Favorite Workout Pants – C by Champion at Target
These compression leggings hold everything in but are still super comfortable. They also have a great side pocket and come in tall lengths. And you can’t beat the price!
(8) My Favorite Basic Leggings – Rune NYC
I got these from Stitch Fix and I love them (and I am now realizing most of this list is black pants – I guess I am pretty predictable!). They hold everything in but without compression or it being uncomfortable. They are soft but also plenty thick.
(9) My Favorite Shorts – Easy Waist Shorts from Target
I realize it is not at all shorts weather right now but you can always stock up now for the summer! These shorts to me are a perfect mix of “comfortable mom shorts that won’t give me a muffin top” and “cute shorts for a 30-something” – I seriously own them in every color. I am tall and don’t think they are too short, I think the 4″ is a great length.
