I think that things were at least better this year than last, though I think there won’t be a significant turn around for maybe another 2 years. My firm had 1/5th the summer associates this summer as compared to when I summered, but hey, they are all actually getting to start, as opposed to the summer associates from 2009 who all had to do a 1-year deferment. It’s amazing the change from 2007 to early 2009 – a complete 180! That being said, good luck with your job hunt!!
